ahhhh... the girls room! i have not done a post on this room in a long time and it has been a favorite to work on. again, i will start out with the inspiration picture.
the elements i love in this room are:
- the gray undertones to the pink walls
- the chandelier
- the simple white organza canopy over the bed
- the simple pink and white color palate
photo found here
i also really really really liked this pillow!!
its so full of ruffles and the texture is so soft.
i picked up two of these. one for each bed. they are from pier one.
the following picture sequence shows the reading area of the bedroom. we designed the home to have two large 'bunk rooms'. one for the boys (you can see that here) and one for the girls.
with only two rooms we were able to make them larger than normal. yay!
the picture below is the most recent. i found this light fixture in at a local antique shop. the other side of the room (behind where i'm standing to take this picture) will have two, more traditional chandeliers.

I am working on my daughter's room and have been looking for that perfect shade of pink. What color are you using?
ReplyDeleteshiloh, the color is Benjamin Moore's Wild Aster but we lightened it about 1/4 :)
