potty training

it's that time again.......

some say boys are faster to train than girls.  or vice versa.  i'm in a tie.....so this little guy could go either way.  it could take forever........or he could figure it out in a week.

i'm thinking it might take more than a week.  :)

  2. Oh is he a cutie! My boys always took longer....but I only have one girl to compare that too. My last little guy seemed to take the longest of them all, but I think that was more about MY busy-ness...not so much time to be watchful and ask during the crazy times around here.
    Good luck!

  4. That's dubs? My goodness, I thought he was still a baby and now he's on the potty?! So adorable.

Having only one boy and three girls, I can't say which sex I thought was faster--they were all trained between 25-28 months old, night and day, with our oldest girl being the youngest by a month.

  5. That is too funny. When he's a teenager I bet he'll wanna burn those babies...or his momma for taking them. :)

  6. My son was WAY easier than my daughter when it came to potty training. I had to F.O.R.C.E my daughter at FOUR years old and she fought me hardcore. I thought I would need Paxil to survive the experience. My middle child (boy) was pretty easy and we started at 3. My youngest (another boy) just turned 2 so I have yet to go through it with him, but I dread it. It's just not a fun thing to do. lol

  8. Visiting from The Little Things in Our Life. I just started potty training my WeeMan this week too. So far he's winning. I don't know - maybe he's not ready. Any advice? This is my first go round so I don't have a clue what I'm doing. Love the pictures - your little man looks adorable.

  9. I was never in a hurry to potty-train my kids, as it's mom who gets to do all the running and clean-up! ;-) When they really want to do it and have the abilities, it can go so fast. My exception was #3, a girl, who decided she wanted to be 'a big girl' and use the potty at 18 months, and that was a long process.

Our oldest had bladder surgery at 20 months and her surgeon told me it was normal for girls to start training at 2 1/2 and boys at 3 1/2. My boys were all 4 when they did. The girls were close to 3.

Adorable photos, that will amuse the crowd during his wedding slide show! :-D

  10. OMW! Too doggone cute! But you know he is not going to be happy with you when he gets older and see these pictures! I only had boys so I have no comparison. My youngest was harder to potty train than my oldest but lucky for me, they were both trained before they hit three. My cousin is having a tough time with her daughter who just turned three. She has no desire to be trained and is fighting my cousin every step of the way.

  11. My little guy is just about potty trained and I waited til he was a little older and a good time when I knew we was going to be home for a week to do it. Made all the difference. He is my 7th potty trainer so you think I would have it down to a science but every child is so different you never know what is going to happen! Good luck!

  13. Hi Sarah!
Its me again :) I have a quick question for you. I'm thinking of going grey in my family room and your home keeps coming to mind. I have researched a little and was wondering if Vapor Trails gives off a green tone? I'm wanting a good crisp grey. Hope you can help :) Thanks! Susie

  15. LOL! I'm in the exact same boat. I have been bribing my little lady with M&M's. It seems to work pretty well. Now if she would just TELL me when she needs to go I would be all set.

  16. Oh those funny potty training days! I'm about to start that up around here too! My little man will turn 'two' tomorrow! :) I've potty trained my older two kids and I've been wondering how my little man will do...will he be quick or slow? Only time will tell! Keep us updated on the potty training! Any tips! It's been a few years for me! I'm hoping it comes back like riding a bike! I potty trained my older two kids at 24-26 months!
