I love how down to earth you are! I would love to know more about your homeschooling adventures - especially how you got started with it in the early/preschool years. We have a 2.5 year old and a 2 month old and I am really considering it. I know I have a few years to do more research, but I love hearing other families experiences. My main concern right now is that I simply won't have enough energy/creativity to keep a younger mind engaged!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the garden, we just started one this year using the gardening by the square foot method and we love it. We're even growing corn in our little boxes (how hillbilly is that?!) We're still waiting on most things to be ready but so far we've already gotten some yummy lettuce and strawberries.

I've heard about that large families books. I'll have to pick it up sometime!
ReplyDeleteYour videos make your blog even better. Great inspiration.
ReplyDeleteQues for video: I homeschooled my older girls for four years and now have 5 children. You seem to have great vision and conviction about family, home and education. Did you always have this or were you inspired by an event, person, or your own upbringing? Can you share a bit about your philosophy?
I'm in the middle of reading Large Family Logistics right now and enjoying it too! So much good information.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this! By the way, I love your blog! I love how you decorate your house, and look forward to seeing what curriculum you came home with. :-)
I love the videos! You are too cute! I still think you should do a video home tour soon.
ReplyDeleteLove your videos!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with MiO! So far I've only tried the mango-orange flavor. Its amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou are just so dang cute! I love your videos.
ReplyDeleteLove the video! :)
ReplyDeleteHow funny to come across this today...
True story about the MiO: At the restaurant after church this morning, my MIL pulled one out of her purse and squirted it into her glass of water. It must've hit an ice cube or something b/c next thing I know, my husband and I who were sitting across from her are sporting red spots all over our Sunday dress clothes! Yep, his cream shirt, khaki pants, and my white (dry clean only) skirt. Ugh!
I'll let you know if they come out.
That Large Family book sounds interesting. I may try to find that one.
Thanks for the recommendation on the Bible study books! Our pastor is an expository preacher and it is so helpful! I would love to get these books to further my learning on my own too.
I love your accent, it's so cute! Thanks for sharing on video, you!ve inspired me to go and figure out how to upload my videos(been putting that in the too hard basket). I love reading your blog and hope your veggies are coming along well.
