Summer and our 11th year of Homeschooling!

Sunday, August 30, 2015

This summer has simply gone too quickly.  There was swimming, play dates, book clubs and babysitting, movies, golf and piano.  We don't typically go anywhere on vacation during the summer months, opting rather to stay around town and swim, golf and visit with family and friends.

Can you believe my little man is nearing 4 months!?!  His hair is coming in blonde, he laughs a LOT, and loves to be held.

ChiChi turned 3!  This nickname has stuck pretty heartily, although its often shortened to Cheech or even Sneech.  He love to ride the tractor with daddy, and "mower the lawn".

His favorite shows are Paw Patrol and Bubble Guppies.  He says "I love you mom" unprompted. Its so precious to hear his voice forming all sorts of sentences and thoughts, ideas and even an occasional movie line!
We are embarking on our 3rd year of Classical Conversations!  Our oldest daughter will be in Challenge 1, our second daughter in Challenge A, then the boys are in a mix of Foundations and Foundations and Essentials.

The girls started early as the CC Challenge program is 30 weeks where the Foundations and Essentials is only 24.  So they had their own "First Day" photos.  You can see our other First Day Photos ---> 2011  2012

Deanie is in High School!  and Dancy is in 7th grade.

  1. You are the first blog I ever faithfully read. I so enjoyed your Godly insight and focus. Congratulations on another sweet bundle! I know you must be so blessedly busy, but is sure was nice to wonder over to your blog again and see an update from you.

From one homeschooling mom to another, I wish you a great year!

  2. I've missed you! My blog is very quiet these days, in contrast to our very, very noisy new life. Our adoptions are nearly complete on our first two babies after fifteen years of barrenness. My cup runneth over!

It's good to hear from you, and what you're doing in the home school front. Soon we will be making our final choices and beginning that journey as well. I appreciate your wisdom in this, and all the other areas of managing home as well.
