the journey of homeschooling has been rewarding in every way.  i treasure each and every moment with my children...honestly.

we have been homeschooling for four years now.  the kids and i have shared laughter, quiet moments, tears, frustration, joy, hugs, holding hands, smiles and winks.  we sing outloud, dance and twirl.    i wouldn't trade my ordinary day at home for anything!

i am so so thankful to be able to pray with the kids throughout the day.  we pray when we hear an ambulance, we pray when we're wrong, we pray when someone is hurt, we pray when we need patience, we pray thankfulness for all we have, we pray for devastated countries, we pray that God would keep us humble.

  1. Aww. Such a beautiful post. I miss homeschooling. I've been thinking a lot about it lately. Everything you wrote here reminds me of the many reasons I enjoyed it. Thanks. :)

  2. I love homeschooling too. Our kids are 12, 10, 6, and 3. How old are yours? What curriculum are you using? You have beautiful children.

  3. nikki - thank you. there are a lot of hidden treasures in homeschooling that is for sure.

eva - our children are 9, 7, 5, 3 and 1. we use rod and staff english/Bible/reading, horizans math, a reason for handwriting, and story of the world history. quite a hodge podge! :)

  4. I feel the same way. Homeschooling has been such a blessing for us!

So glad to have found your blog!!

  5. It is always so fun to meet another family that homeschools. I love that you wrote scriptures on the frames of your new home.

  6. That's beautiful! I plan to homeschool and this post is why!

  7. I don't homeschool, but it looks so wonderful for your family. Thanks for the idea to pray with the kids for patience. I often pray for it myself, but now see if would be a good idea to have the kids stop and pray for it when they need it too. Great post (and awesome school room!)
