From my family to yours.

what a wonderful year it has been.  so much to be thankful for.  so much to look forward to.

God continues to show Himself through good times and hard times.  i look back on this past year and honestly, if i didn't have a relationship with Jesus and assurance that I am HIS, certain "bumps" in the road would have been waaay less manageable.

a few of the things in my life that i will choose to be thankful for and dwell on:

saving grace.  my hardworking husband.  growing family.  my children.  health.  parents and inlaws. the Bible.  sisters and sisters in law.  praise and worship music.  church and our smallgroup. air conditioning during my pregnancy.  laughter.  forgiveness.  date nights.  homeschooling.  hugs.

God's love and the fact that He has never moved away from me...  when i feel unloved it is always me shutting Him out.  being stubborn.  thinking my way is better.  but it always leaves me feeling blah.  when i embrace prayer, worship, the word and HIM its like i went on an amazing run and feel energized and LOVED!!  (some will even say i'm more lovable!)  He never moves.  He is always there with His arms waiting to embrace me and my messiness, my repentance, and my sin.  That is the saving grace that I'm talking about!  I'm a better wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend when I believe I am loved.  and I am.  I am very very loved.  and so are you. God loves you dearly...will you love Him?

  7. Thank you so much for writing this. It's so simple, yet I am sitting here with tears in my eyes. After a very challenging and chaotic year, followed by a very chaotic Christmas preparation; I really, really needed to hear this. You've changed my outlook and reminded me of where I need to be and who I am. God bless You!

  9. A vocês também, família linda.
Fico imaginando daqui uns 30 anos, estas lindas crianças casadas e com seus filho, que maravilhosa família estará na fotografia de Natal. Deus os abençoe.

    To you too, beautiful family.
I imagine here some 30 years, these beautiful married children, all with their children, who will be in wonderful family Christmas picture. God bless you.

  12. Sara~
I see that you also enjoy praise and worship music! I have recently started running and listening to contemporary Christian music. I really enjoy Kari Jobe, Audrey Assad, Chris Tomlin, and Casting Crowns. Are there any artists or songs that you could suggest adding to my collection? After all...4 miles of mogging (the mom jog) at 4.7 mph takes some serious time, time I can also spend with HIM.
    In Faith,
    Amy Webber

    1. amy, i really like all of those artists too! some other favorites: natalie grant, christy nockels, hillsong and third day.

  13. he is ALWAYS there.
